The new SL Embedded Predictor is a pre-finished chemometrics assembly for process spectrometers or other embedded analyzing and sensor systems. It enables the direct online evaluation of spectra by multivariate calibration models1) created with SL Calibration Workshop or SL Calibration Wizard. The link to a conventional PC becomes unnecessary. Due to its small dimensions, the SL Embedded Predictor can be mounted directly inside the spectrometer enclosure and only needs to be connected to a 12 volts power supply. Rapid data exchange with the spectrometer controller via internal Ethernet (or optional USB) interface enables prediction of up to 30 data sets per second2).
This processing speed becomes possible by use of a Freescale ARM CPU with floating point unit and optimized C/C++ algorithms for chemometric evaluation including automatic outlier diagnostics.

SensoLogic supplies the ready-to-install OEM module as PCB assembly with all software pre-installed in the flash memory of the system. Multiple groups of calibration models can be internally stored as applications which are chosen according to the requirements of the measurement process. Other functions support the saving of single spectra or series of several spectra, e. g. when samples are taken, to keep them for further inspection or calibration maintenance.
Additional PC software for calibration download, spectra upload and some service functions is also included in delivery. With the well-documented command interface, implementing the SL Embedded Predictor becomes an easy task for the technical staff of every spectrometer supplier. On request, SensoLogic also offers the software integration as a service performed by our own experienced software engineers.
